BluFoams respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your information when you use our website, booking pages, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

Our Services include laundry, wash & fold, dry-cleaning, pickup & delivery, and on-campus or in-store drop-off options (including services connected to Florida International University (“FIU”) locations).

Important note about FIU: BluFoams is an independent service provider and is not operated by FIU. If you access FIU websites or systems, FIU’s own privacy notices may apply to those services.

1) Information We Collect

A. Information you provide to us

When you place an order, create an account, contact us, or use our Services, we may collect:

• Contact information: name, email, phone number

• Account information: login credentials (we do not store your password in plain text)

• Order details: service type, item details you submit, preferences/instructions, special handling notes

• Pickup/Drop-off details: pickup location, delivery location, preferred times, locker selection info (where applicable)

• Payment & billing: billing address and payment confirmation details (payment processing is handled by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers)

B. Information collected automatically

When you browse our site or booking pages, we may collect:

• Device & usage data: IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, referral URLs, time stamps

• Cookies & similar tech: to remember settings and understand website performance (see Section 7)

C. FIU / campus-specific information (if you use FIU-related service options)

If you order for on-campus pickup, drop-off, we may collect:

• Campus pickup/drop-off location details (e.g., building/area details you provide)

• Locker-related details necessary to complete your order (e.g., locker location you select, delivery notes)

We use campus-related details only to provide service, route orders correctly, and support access/logistics.

2) How We Use Your Information

We use information for purposes such as:

• Providing and operating the Services (order processing, pickups, deliveries, drop-offs)

• Customer service and communications (order updates, support responses)

• Scheduling and logistics (routing drivers, managing locker/in-store drop-off workflows)

• Payment processing and fraud prevention

• Quality control and service improvement

• Marketing communications (only where permitted by law and your settings)

3) How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share your information only as needed to run the Services, including with:

• Service providers / vendors (e.g., website hosting, order/booking platform, SMS/email communications, analytics tools)

• Payment processors to process your transactions

• Delivery and operations teams (internal staff/contractors who need the data to complete service)

• Legal / safety disclosures when required to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect our rights, or protect customers and the public

FIU/campus operational sharing (limited)

If necessary to provide service (for example, to resolve access/logistics issues), we may share limited information with relevant campus contacts only to the extent required to complete or troubleshoot service. We do not share your personal information for FIU marketing purposes.

4) Email, Texts, and Communications

By providing your phone number or email, you agree we may contact you about:

• Order confirmations and status updates

• Service notices (schedule changes, delays, policy updates)

• Support responses

Marketing messages: If we send promotional emails/texts, you can opt out anytime using the unsubscribe link (email) or replying STOP (text), where applicable.

5) Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. However, no system is 100% secure.

If a data incident occurs, we will take steps consistent with applicable Florida law, including notification requirements under Florida’s breach notification statute (Fla. Stat. § 501.171).

Florida residents

Florida has privacy and data-security laws that may apply depending on the situation. We follow applicable requirements for protecting and securing personal information, including Florida’s breach notification law.

Florida’s “Digital Bill of Rights” mainly applies to certain very large companies, but BluFoams still aims to honor reasonable consumer requests to access/correct/delete information when we can.

9) Children’s Privacy

Our Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

10) Third-Party Links

Our Services may include links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please review their policies separately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date above and post the new version on our website.
